Yes. Our enrollment platform is optimized for Chrome, Safari and Firefox. If multiple Members are using the same computer, please make sure to either clear the cache, cookies and any autofills between Member enrollments or have each Member use an incognito browser tab. Each Member will receive an email containing specific instructions on how to upgrade their membership.
Sedera wants to make sharing funds for Community Needs as seamless as possible. Providing the banking account during enrollment ensures we can expedite sharing when there is a Need. When Members have a qualified Need, Sedera will push shared funds through their Individual Medical Cost Sharing Account to their personal banking account.
Members will keep their Medical Cost Sharing Account open for a period of 12 months following the end of their membership. At the end of the 12 months, if there are any funds remaining, those funds will be reimbursed to the Member.
The money deposited into the Medical Cost Sharing account is for the benefit of Community and Members cannot access the contributions made into the Medical Cost Sharing bank account for the duration of the membership. Any funds that are shared with the Member will be transferred from their Medical Cost sharing account to their personal checking account.
With Sedera’s new enrollment platform, Members will share their medical expenses directly with other Members. The new bank account is specifically for sharing – both what Members are contributing to the eligible Needs within the Community and what the Community will share when Members have an eligible Need.
As a non-profit organization, the Sedera Medical Cost Sharing Community is solely focused on serving Members and carrying out our community-centric mission.
